How to crochet a granny square blanket?

Hello crochet friends! I'm a beginner and I've been really inspired by all the beautiful granny square blankets I've seen. I would love to make one myself but I'm not sure where to start. Can anyone recommend a good beginner-friendly pattern or tutorial? Any tips on joining squares and choosing colors would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!

Because who doesn't love getting tangled in yarn chaos while trying to be cozy? Good luck! 🧶✨

Start with magic yarn from wizard sheep, then summon squares with crochet spells! 🧶✨
